Law studes green up local ecopark

CPC-School of Law Student Body, Inc (CPC-SLSB) conducted a mangrove tree planting with the theme “Mangrove tree-planting as a Christmas gift to Mother Earth” at Palina Greenbelt Ecopark, Cagay, Roxas City, December 21.

As a replacement to the Golden Foundation Anniversary of the CPC-College of Law activities supposedly scheduled on December 20-21, the department chose, instead, to plant mangrove seedlings.

Mrs. Au Saralde Matienzo, president of CPC-SLSB, said “It’s time for us to share moments with Mother Earth, because admit it or not, this is the very least thing that we can think of… it could prevent storm surge.”

About 20 participants coming from all year levels were able to plant 500 mangrove seedlings, “We did see the real beauty of nature, we did feel it’s sweet flowing breeze…it was indeed a Christmas moment with Mother Earth” she added.
