Baybay, Roxas City’s People’s Park teemed with stalls offering local delicacies as it was temporarily converted into a food court for this year’s Capiztahan Seafood Fair.
Opening on the evening of the first day of the province-wide fiesta, different resorts – Sta. Ana Farm Resort of Ivisan, Villa Consorcia Resort of Pontevedra, San Antonio Resort of Roxas, Daytime Pad and Bitoy’s balay Barbekyuhan served their finest seafood delicacies along with a selection of red meat dishes.
Punch-line slogans related to seafood decorated each stall: “Shellfie Selfie”, “I Talab Ya Gidya”, “Crab Kita”, “Fish Be With You”, and “Believe Eat or Not”.
Mascots in seafood costumes roamed the area giving the children merriment.
Combo ni Papa band from Iloilo also entertained the customers and passers-by with their reggae songs to celebrate, alongside with the seafood fest, the second Reggae Festival of Capiztahan.
Organized by Ms. Cheryl and Let-Let del Rosario, the Seafood Fair and the Reggae Festival will remain open until April 12, Sunday.
